That was at the PowerCruise at WSID recently wasn't it .... I heard about it through the guy that runs Carline Mufflers in Mt Druitt.

its hard to smoke up the tyres , they spin but the traction controll stops it from doing a burn out. as for the wall thing, he may have been trying to flick the car to get it drifting and ended up in the dirt , still a dumb salami . The damage to the car was @ 10k worth. i will have to change his plate from 2 FEAR to 2 THICK

Actually now to watch it its obvious it was staged. The PA guy sorta sounded like he was playing up the drama and "acting" a little bit, while the ferrari guy probably wouldnt have waved at the crowd pumping his fist in the air after that little incident. Id wanna run away to hide and leave it all behind me!

The damage to the car would be more like $70,000, the whole front end is all aluminium, The fiberglass front of my GT is worth $3500 and just for the lower mesh grill is $690, I tapped a car last year who had on a tow bar and it cost over $5500 to fix.

even if it is a PR job, and the car was going to the auctions, that ferrari pre and post accident have massive differences in value!

why would they destroy a car like that. if it was going to be auctioned in good cond. it would get a shit load more money :

it did look a little fake though...maybe if he had some serious wheelspin he could have lost control, but that was poor

if that was a PR stunt then i'd be stuffed..

powercruise 2005 this was,and i was told it wasnt a PR job it was for real.

the dude hit 2nd gear and lost it hit the wall
and im sure that dude went home and grabbed his porsche to finish off the event,so im doubting it was PR if it was its a crap way of doing it..

this video has been posted before ;)

I can think of at least 30 cars I'd have over a Ferrari.
Just think they're waaay overrated is all.I probably would have been more saddened if it had've been a Holden Gemini _

Not to mention it might cast a bit of a blemish on his record with Ferrari, and they have a strict "adoption service" from what I hear.

Im telling you i have spoken to a lot of people about this and it wasnt staged the guy waving his arm out the window is the fire marshall not the owner i was talking to some Ferrari guys last week and they said if the airbag went off it would be a minimum of $75,000 to repair.

It goes to show, money can't buy driving skill, the only thing to Fear is the driver on public roads in that thing.
