Well...what a dissapointing weekend. It went wrong from the moment it started. Firstly the Scrutineers wouldn't pass my car without a front grill on?. So i had to get Gunns and XDSLIDER to go pick up my full front bumper. Then Saturday morning the car was supposed to go on the dyno....but when we fired it up it was blowing a heap of smoke. So we decided to miss the dyno and try go out for a cruise. We did that and had a ball....cleaning up a few VL Turbo's that got in our way..lol. Then saturday arvo the drags were on. So we thought we'd have a go. I bolted the Micky's on and went out and Lined up a LJ Torana. The car luanched ok, then took off on the torana like it was standing still in 2nd gear and the start of 3rd...then bang...the engine went onto 5 cylinders. And the funny part was..i still managed to win the race..lol. So we called it a day yesterday and towed the old beast home. We shall investigate further in the coming days.

Ah sorry to hear mate. Did they give you reasoning behind not allowing the car without a grill???

Dude! Thats so sad to hear...especially after last year. They passed it last year without a grille, why not this year, crash reasons?
Any ideas on whats wrong?

They didn't pass it because they are a bunch of tight asses!
But they passed my front bar, with my tiny little grill.
