Default its conversion time AGAIN...

well, i put the AU 6cyl in my EB, then i attacked the EF with the AU 5.0L....
and the bug has bitten again.

Due to the lack of interest in my EB (was for sale), I decided to keep it and do a few mods to get the power up.

Then i saw that EEFalcon and John_XR6 had the EB Fmont Ghia for sale with the 5.0 and all the bits for a I6->V8 conversion.

So the plan is too drop that into the EB. but without the 4spd auto....
yep, it's going manual. either T5, or supra, depending on cost etc.
also the engine will be warmed over (heads, manifold, cam etc) before its detailed and fitted.

should be a laugh.
I'll keep ya'll posted

p.s, a couple of us will be coming over to melbourne in july to tow the car home to adelaide, so i was thinking we could do a cruise on a sat nite. we may be in geelong tho. we'll sort something closer to the date.

Phil

Haha... increased displacement, cylinders, engine configuration, different gearbox...yeah, just a few mods to get the power up

Sounds awesome tho. Why not turn it into a real bitsa and throw a toploader in there?

If my car can go a month without breaking down on me phil, might come for a spin over to mexico....

I'm sure we can organise something once there is a set date.

It will be on a Saturday Night.

Watch out this sounds like your developing a seroius lifelong problem that also afflicted my me and my Dad.

We have done a 253 into an RX4, a 10A rotary into a Mazda 800 wagon, a 2litre and 5 speed floor shift into a B1800 ute, a 13B bridgeport into a 1600GT Capri, 1835cc VW into a Karmann Ghia, P76 V8 into a Triumph Stag then 2500PI, 4.1 Alloy head into a Benz 230 wagon and then a 250 Sedan.

I am recovering well now I am in my 40's but Dad 70+ has had a relapse and just stuck a Turbo Diesel into his Coaster Motorhome which he converted from a school bus!!??

Good luck with it!

Its all the little bits that will P*** u off u know the cables and pedals and knobs and electrical bits that never quite get fixed properly.
