Hey all
I have a AU1 XR8, and was shattered on the weekend that a BA XR6 with no work other then a chip kept up with us. Any suggestions on what to do on the cheaper scale of things to increase my speed, and better yet make it sound chunky and the same time. I have had a look into the chips and Hi Torque have quoted me $1 395.00 to instal and tune a chip that will give it a bit more boot, and suggested trading in the 2 1/4" twins with 2 1/2" tips for a solo 3" Anyone with thoughts on the matter, itd be great  If it would be easy to explain via phone 0400 799 232. Well yeah they're slow. I remember chopping an AU XR8 at Willowbank in my Ralliart Magna. From memory he ran a 15.3 @ 92mph.
As for your question - I don't know bugger all about Ford engines, but I've heard that a single 3" exhaust is the way to go with some extractors and free up the air intake. |
