Default Auto, Gone Again.

Thats right.

Less than 5000km's and the new trans blew up, AGAIN!!!!!!!
On the way to the zig zag run, bang, blown up.
Smoke pouring out from under the car, and up through the engine bay for over 1/2 an hour.
This auto let go with a fanfare that pales in significance compared to the last one...
BA/ION quality - bloody unreal. :SaiyanSmi

Rear bumper absolutely covered in oil...

Apart from the fact that i am far from impressed, less that 5000km's and it blown is shocking.
BA's have some serious issues.

Now, this is going to spark a certain agruement that will go for young and old round here, so lets have it...

Its in the discussion area....

Unhappy Ford Owner.

Like any other turbo, gets a bit of stick.

Turns out that the BRASS bush inside the front main pump had melted, and then the auto died a fantastic death from there... :

There was more auto fluid under the car than it dropped on the road.

How hard do i drive, well 34000km;s and the stock tyres are still good for another 5-8000..... : :

Filthy - When are you going to accept "There is no substitute for cubic inches" but as your youth breeds naivety it brings me to one other saying "Young dumb and full of c#m"

Hope it all ends well

No they didn't. Basically a complete failure of the trans.

But the underside of the car looked like it had being dipped in oil.

They degreased, and degreased, but it was in all the heat shields and everything....

When i got the car back, sitting there at lights, the amount of smoke coming out from the rear tyres - looked like a mad burnout, seeings the car wasn't moving :the_finge.

Got a few strange looks too :

I will bet within the next 6000km's she blows.
Anymore takers?

Hello Stav!

Haven't seen you in a while, still modding that wagooon???? :

It is now on its fifth auto.
Thats right, 5 autos in 7000km's.
Few other things needed replacement this time too... :
I hold some elite records too now (see signature).

Surely this saga will end now too.

Cheers
Ben

Are you trying to break my old record on my old xc falcon??6 manual gearboxes???!! Installed the c4 auto and blew 10 diffs. And you know what ??It wasnt me!!(the devil made me do it!! :SaiyanSmi )

The old wagon gave me a respectable 0-100 time of 6.54 seconds with 150 kgs of tools and stock for work.To say the least I am stokkked!! I am trying to blow my auto box at the moment so that I can have an excuse to do a sports rebuild..but the dam thing wont blow!!!

By the way ..how the heck have you been Ben ..hope ok!!

I think mine is about to die. Its either the clutch or the box itself. The dealer reckons it could be the latter. Its got 55000 kms on it. Will know shortly... : : :
