To be honest I like the old one better. This one looks to fake and not very inviting. Its all just one big blur in front of you.

oddly enough on their merchandise page the DJR logo is still shell helix racing, the BJR logo is still ozemail, and the supercheap autos logo is still there too....

It doesn't look as flash as the old one & I found a couple of mistakes but it's a lot more user friendly then the previous one

Can't say it's better or worse than the previous site, but it's about time they updated the look of the ford website. Also, IMO this one looks more like the other Ford websites (i.e. Ford US etc.) so it does give it more of a corporate 'family' look.

I always disliked the old site, this one is much better and makes it look more 'modernish' like the US ford sites.

thumbs up from me

Thats what i was thinking Devil Racer, the old sites navigation was horrid, this new one gives you much easier access between pages etc.

This one is stacks better. It's actually user friendly, and no longer has popup links sprawling all over the place.

Two thumbs proceeding skyward.

Yes its far more easier to navigate and thankfully not flash orientated. Old Fluid media did a great job with the foundations of the old website...it served Ford well over the years.

I've found it more conservative, but easier to navigate, as so far has been aired already.

Their new website is based on the American Ford Vehicles Site. (http://www.fordvehicles.com/)

Which i might add, was an extremely expensive website to create.

The new website allows options to view the entire range, with a HEAP more information on each vehicle then was previously shown. The new website was aimed at increasing usability and adding a more interactive experience for the browser. I rekon it sure does that, and they have done a good job.

However, I think they need a new bold exciting look (to match thier cars), not a high-end corporate look as they now have.

I know a fair bit about the work that went into the American site, its a pitty that Ford Australia couldnt come up with something original. Our cars are original, why cant Ford Aus site be ?

Either way, Thumbs up for the new site (even if it is a copy)

I've just joined this forum & was having my 1st look around. I was about to post a question "Does anyone else think the same as me & consider the Ford Australia website to be ridiculously outdated & offering a very limited reference point for what is largely a great product range?".....then I found this thread - so there you go. It is much better already) & hopefully it will be an ongoing process of improvement rather than how the old site was just left to be a dinasaur carry over because their on-line marketing division was too lazy (or incompetent). I often wondered if their dealer network gave HO grief over this situation as I always thought the Dealers & the potential customers deserved much better.

just like the cars it has a lot of advantages of the Holden website which could've been designed by drunken monkeys.

Lets not start on the HSV site that takes 10 mins for each page to load sleep:

The new website does look a lot better than the old one, even though it does look dull and uninspired. I suppose that doesn't say a lot does it?

i've seen teenagers make better sites than the HSV site.

the New Ford Aus site may look a little dull but it looks professional and therefor a little inspiring. I don't think it's the at the top of the list of improvments but it's a refreshing change never the less...

i worked for the firm that developed this website.. had a bit of input too.. it is a generation ahead of the old website in every way. however it is only a stop-gap initiative and eventually we will see a site much like New Zealand and South Africa..

$56,000 for a Fairlane? Whew

I don't mind the new site, it looks neater, more professional, and luxury/passenger/etc cars are put together nicely. Better colours, too.

Its about Bloody time they fixed that Monstrous old dinosaur of a website!!!!

I hated how they'd mask how sh!t their base website was by making little "Sub"sites for each respective car, but not fixing the underlying problem which was the main site page itself...

As for the new one. It looks great!

It looks to based on their American website. NOW can we get "BUILT FOR THE ROAD AHEAD" Ford's American slogan, instead of our stupid "YOU'D BE POPULAR TOO"

That's the Ford Dealer's campaign slogan and not Ford itself, but it would be good for FoA to take on the Built For The Road Ahead slogan.
