Default Im sorry to say....

sorry to say guys....but the focus needs to go.

with a change in jobs now i now need a ute.....

so i now have my car up in the forsale section and on carsales.

i have been very happy with this car and am sorry to say goodbye. never missed a beat and has unbelievably great fuel consumption.

Sorry to hear that you have to sell, the TDCI is a great car. Hopefully your circimstances may change down the track, and you can get another one. Rumour has it that the next gen Focus will be available with a 197 bhp oiler (I'm guessing it'll either be a twin turbo 2.0L or the 2.2L available in the Mondeo in the UK).

How did you find the Eibachs with the stock shocks?

yeah the eibachs are completely fine. nice improvement on handeling.

i love the focus but unfortunatly there just isnt enough room to fit all my tools in lol.

Mate I spotted one for sale here in Perth, the Mrs wants to go smaller from the BA.
I like the look of them and great safety features. Same kays and price as yours except it's an 08.
Do they have a bit of go in them? I drove my Uncles Golf diesel turbo and it went like stink for a little car.
Also, is there much leg room in front for the driver, I'm 6 foot 2, I see from pics there's np leg room at all in the back.

Hi mate, I'm from Perth as well. I've got the same model in a petrol, I'm 6'1 and there's HEAPS of room, a friend is 6'5" and 120kg, and he fits into it fine with headroom to spare. The legroom in the back is much better than most cars that size, I've had four 5'8"+ guys in the car for a 400km trip and it wasn't a problem. It'll never have the rear room of a falcon of course...

The Diesel has MUCH more midrange than the petrol, but if you dragged them against each other it would still lose. Unless you're always driving around the redline though, the TDi will be a much nicer daily.

I'd be interested to see a drag between the two, both have advantages and disadvantages.

I never tire of the in gear torque though

Nice find...notice the difference in the 4th gear 31-62mph times? 7.6 vs 11.9 in favour of the TD...

Thanks Mullet, good to know, she's still set on a Mondeo at this stage, a 2.3 petrol pulling a car nearly the size of a Falcon will be too heavy going for my liking, I want something with some go and thats why I liked this Focus.
I know theres a Mondeo in a turbo too, but a bit too exxy for me.
