Default Fitch Catalyst Australia - thoughts

A guy at work today said he put the Fitch Catalyst tablets in his Diesel Toyota Prado and said he's noticed a gain in power and is currently running a fuel consumption test. This guy's definently no bunny (helps run a small formula ford race team and is very mechanically minded).

Just wondering if anyone else have tried as I was considering giving it a try?

how about a 4 year old thread coming back to life hey ??
I just installed a F300 Fitch on my EF 4.0l last night and have already noticed changes in the car.
Thrashing it around the block I noticed more torque especially in the 2 3g rpm.
parked it in the driveway and the exhaust smells different.
Driving it to work this morning through the burbs the trip is reading 10.2 lp100 instead of 12.8.
I usually get 300km from 40 liters so I will let you know how that goes in a week or so.
I bought it from Summit racing in Ohio. $300AUD shipped.

Well who wants a look inside my fitch.
this is one of the 4 pellets that came out of the F5T drop in.
it weighes 15 grams and has a volume of 1.9cc so isnt lead but has a sg something like steel.
It isnt magnetic and is not effected by a magnet so is non ferrous.
If there are any curious metalurgists out there they are welcome to have a lend of this pellet to see if they can find out what manner of moosecockery it is.

According to the NRMA Fitch doesn't do anything.

I'll believe it works when I see wide scale adoption by transport companies, until then; it's snake oil.

These fuel saving catalyst things are usually made of Tin.

My original figure of 10.2 lp100 didnt include a cold start so would be a bit low. I reset it just as it came up to op temp. My run to work is only 18km so theres a lot of cold starting going on.
One thing that scares me about the Falcon is how rich it runs on cold start.
Really should give it about a week without resetting the average consumption cause thats where the 12.8 lp100 figure comes from.

The Hyclones under a different name are being sold at the Woodridge sunday matket in Brisbane the spiel is they are a new invention and will save you fuel and make less polution
well I had a look at them and lo and behold it was the same as the type I got conned into paying $10 for back in 1981
I put this as per the directions under the carbie of the XY (6 cyl) and its suposed to make the fuel mix swirl and give you more HP and less fuel consumpsion
what a load of crap
so nothing changes just re appearances of the usual rot
thanks John
