LOL, bit over blown there. For one thing, it doesn't pre-prime until you open the door; Secondly, it's not that loud; and Thirdly, the delay when you twist the key is typically less than 2 seconds.

Neither can I.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Unlock, open door, get in, twist key, put seatbelt on - car starts while I'm putting my seatbelt on, off I go. It's a complete non-issue. The car is ready when I'm ready, without fail, every time.

Not quite, warpspeed, unlocking the vehicle starts stage 1 priming, opening the door starts stage 2, the noise changes at each stage.
Perhaps mine is loud because of the relative openness of the gas tanks on a ute compared to sedan, or i have a louder than usual fuel pump.
Its something i hear multiple times a day, as a sales rep, i can stop restart up to 20 times.
What i dont miss from the egas is the odd start up splutter then stall, or ongoing rough idling necessitating a restart. Egas was also not fond of restarting while cold-ie, you cold start it in the morning to move another car out of the driveway and switch it off before warming up. The next time you start it will cough and splutter until you reach operating temp.

Ye the EcoLPi system is light years ahead of the old E gasser in every way....No starting or stalling or idling issues, no problems with convertors freezing up with coolant leaks, And NO BACKFIRES!

I'm on my third tank and filled with 100% propane to see if there is any variation. The trip computer is telling me 10.2 average and the @ the bowser 9.8. That's speed limit driving with the occasional "big grin moments" in between. Can't say I can complain about that. For the driving I do, the family I need to move around, the performance I get out of the lpi I feel there is nothing that comes close for the money.

People tend to forget I the eco lpi makes 40kw more then the old egas...

In start stop take off from light driving of course your going to use more fuel the energy has to come from somewhere. Still even at 19 lt per 100 it's the same as a petrol car getting 9.5 in city traffic. .never going to happen

I drive mine pretty hard . Average speed 41 km ph/ 14.9 L

18ltrs per 100 is V8 territory....It would be great if an ECU tune could improve this figure by a couple of points....I'm trying to find out if something can be done in the LPG threads.... 'Ratter' says its up to Herrod motorsport to come up with the info required from the ECU to get the tuning done..

Keep in mind that LPG has less energy per litre than petrol, so it will never achieve the same economy. Its has only about 75% of the energy of petrol.

Aah o.k so we need more to make the same amount of power..... Sounds the same as that horrible Ethanol crap........I'm doubting the urban cycle numbers could really be improved then? Well at least the EcoLPi's are great as a highway/long distance tourer then......Melbourne to Sydney for around $100!

It's the same old gloden rules as for the petrol I-6, keep the throttle steady on acceleration,
try to avoid going much over 2,000 to 2500 before shifts and the fuel economy gets better..

I have a FGii EcoLPI G6e, with nearly 45,000km on it now. It had 11km on it in May 2012. In that time and distance I have come to really appreciate the effort of design and engineering put in by the boys and girls in Geelong and Broady.

I love the way it goes like **** off a shiny shovel, yet costs less than $10.00 per hundred km to run.

It is cheaper to use than the Darl's Mitsy Colt, that uses around 40Litres for 500km at $1.50 a litre bang goes $60.00! The Ford is quicker, quieter, more comfortable and so much easier on the wallet.

Go Ford, go further - for less!

Ye and there is no need to rev an I6 falcon past 3,000 rpm also..... Go easy on the throttle and the numbers should be better than 18/100 in urban cycle.
