It seems "sold out" refers to vehicles leaving the factory.

Would love to know where these 30 are.... I called around a month or so ago trying to get an XR6 Sprint and all dealers said "Nope, none available"..

Maybe you should have said you're willing to offer up your first born and that may have gotten the dealer's attention.

Tropical Auto, Rockhampton are advertising XR8's on tv..stock available..I thought they were all sold out???

Yep. Titan Ford still had a GTF a couple of months ago for $110,000.

Or, for some hopeful person, their finance may not have been approved.
There have been a small few in this situation, but 30
A few may have even decided not to proceed

Yeah that might be it.. I did say I'll pay full retail for one but I wont be paying 10-15-20k over for one... I hate to say it but for $75-80K id buy something else...

Highest I've seen is 85 grand by a dealer, it's the same as with GTF sales, some dealers will try n squeeze top price for one .. Not a honourable action but their last chance to make extra $$$ on a ford badged new car

Saw my first Sprint 6 in real life.
Has an appeal as a limited run with a few stock mods that any FGF6 did not come with but did not float my boat.
They miss other options that come with a FPV.
Would have never sold my car to get one.
Having said that I'm sure any new owners will enjoy the car.

Why shouldn't dealers get top odd?.The whole business world is driven by supply and demand.If a dealer can get $100k for something that every one else is selling for$80k good on them makes up for getting ripped by lying buyers who forget to mention problems with the trade in

There's not 30. There's 20 of which 17 are real cars. Some are private sales too currently available on carsales.

Yep, dealers can put whatever price they want on a car, its their right.. I don't agree with it but it is what it is... Doesn't mean anyone would actually BUY the thing at that exorbitant price...

Doesn't Motorama still have a Brand new GTF sitting in the Show room for $110,000?? its been their for god knows how long and they have dropped the price a few times (think Ben said they wanted $150,000 for it originally) You can guarantee the thing would have sold Months ago/a year ago if they had a fair price on it... Same with the XR6 Sprint a dealer might want $80-100k for... At that price, I would be looking at other options (HSV GTS being one which is a better all round performance car anyway)

At FULL retail i'd buy one tomorrow.. Win Win - Dealer makes money and I get the car I want... You cant tell me these dealers don't make a tidy profit selling them at retail??

No that car went months ago to Q Ford who still have it at their Capalaba branch.

That's the point, the dealers can sell it for what they want, but for that kinda money I'd def buy something else

Paid retail for my 2014 Pursuit ute, just because there were only 120 made there were dealers that either wouldn't give me a price or wanted stupid prices,one dealer in footscray wanted $90,000 for a $52,000 dollar ute.They still have a GTF there for 105,000 auto according to there site.

Looks like the XR8 Sprints going for around 75k on Car Sales.

Couple of XR6 Sprints for around 62k drive away, which is pretty much retail. One was above 70k.

But I imagine as time goes on the price will increase.

Range from 62k up to 76k.

There are a few more XR8's. Price goes from around 72K to 85K I think on those.

Yup they all have a cycle.

Cycles do vary and these may/may not recover quicker than normal. P3's were cheap once too.

Try Metro Ford at Newstead. They advised me on Friday 17 Jun 16 that they could still supply unsold XR6 Sprints. How many I don't know.
