I just got this work done recently on my ED. I thought it was meant to be an adjustable kit, but from hopping underneath the car today, it only looks like some shims and new bushes - which I could have done myself and gone and got a wheel alignment. Or is that what a camber kit is - shims poked underneath the plate. The pictures are not before and after - the old ones are an EA and what I'm complaining about is the ED. Is that worth $350? If it is well I'm sorry to air my ignorance, I'm an electronics man. But I would like to be kept in the picture - please somebody post a photo.

in the falcons yes thats what the are they differ like my old commey had camber but castor. its alot better with shims coz u got that option of castor which is good if your car pulls left. its a process when wheel aligning glad i left the job lol

its extend bolt from standard so they got room 4 more shims u can fit only a couple on the stardard 1s sorry

Thank you for the reply. I wasn't aware of that. So, I'm on the max on the left wheel cause I know I've got 4 shims under it - it sticks out a bit. You learn something every day.

its a tricking subject 2 explain
say u got a pair in there camber more or less what u want. then u need more neg castor or pos u take from front and put in back or vis versa thats sort of how it works u sortta get it |

Looks like a Pedders job? It's a shim type kit. But $350???? That sounds reallllly expensive, but I forgot what I paid for mine. Come to think of it, I paid a lot too but just wanted the job done! The kits themselves are about $120 if my memory serves me correctly..

doesnt sound too bad too me, they have too be installed alignment done it all takes time, by the time they pay mechanic, etc, wouldnt be a huge profit in it i wouldn`t think.

I got a quote the other day for my ED to be around $340ish (includes labour + wheel alignment and balance.) Apparently K-Mac cost the most for these type of things, (and are the best) so it sounds about right.

Most of $ will be in labour. Have a look under the bonnet on the LH side. Absolute bastard to get in there... AU's are even worse when there on gas!
But yeah, $350 sounds abobut right |

Kmac ones arnt the best, they are a ratchet design and loose their adjustment over time. The shims are a permanent fixture and wont change alignment.

those new ones you got are the exact same ones I have. I paid $30 for mine from pick-a-part and they looked like new. I put them in my self and got a wheel allignment for $50. so all up it cost me $80.
