Default Yes another 'My AU isn't starting thread'

Yes this is another one of those annoying 'please help me my car isn't starting'. I thought they were annoying, until it happened to me :(.

Well i got home after a weekend out, was planning on moving my car ot of the garage for my parents' BA and.... my car didn't start.

I'll cut to the chase, i try to start it, it ticks over three times and then it randomly stops even when the key is still fully turned.
I have checked the battery and used another one thats full and it keeps doing it, i have left the battery disconnected for two minutes and it still isn't working and i have decided to come to you before i annoy my mates to come and help.
Any info would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

EDIT. i have tried a brief search for a problem like mine but nothing is coming up.
