Default Tyre sizing

One cant help but notice how with each new model tyres are getting lower in profile and wheels are getting bigger.
Not to mention 20+ inch aftermarket brigade who mount these even on Rodeos and Hiluxes.
Our roads are pretty rough and covered with potholes -having just driven a car with 235/60/16 rubber on a long trip - i cant help but notice how much better these tyres feel and work with our roads.
Ford seems to agree .. Or i am getting old :-)
