Welcome to the on going saga that is my ELXR front conversion.
Ok, first after spending money restoring the wrong bonnet, I buy a bonnet from Ford which has the XR vent holes already pre-cut into them, I'm pretty sure it's an EF bonnet as all the part numbers have EF in it. When I go to fit the sequential scoop in the hole, firstly it doesn't quite fit properly and secondly there are small gaps between the actual scoop and the hole, less than 1cm but still very noticeable. Now, either the scoop wasn't made correctly or I'm thinking EF vents differ slightly in size and shape compared to EL ones because the scoop was designed to replace an ELXR vent. Does anyone know if that is true? Regards, Michael
