Howdy!
Driving my Au3 Forte home today, after an hours work in the hot sun, i noticed the fuel tank cover panel had popped open. No dramas, I thought, must have knocked the button instead of the boot button. When i tried to close it, it kept springing open, as the latch was not catching. I opened the fuel tank cap, and the tank gave out a gust of air as it depressurized. I tried shutting the cover panel and this time it shut fine. Been out for another smaller drive, exactly the same thing has happened again. It appears the buildup of air inside the tank had moved the fuel tank nozzle enough that it was interferring with the latch. Has this happened to anyone else? Simply a hot day or is it something worth getting checked out?? What would cause increased pressure in the fuel tank like this?? Jono |
