Default Oil

Hey all, long time no post.

I just got back from a road trip to Melbourne with some mates to watch the United get trounced... sad times. I haven't yet changed the oil in my car (its currently done 4500kms) as yet, but thought it might be a good time to do so.
I have two questions:

1. What oil do you recommend? I have heard that Ford recommmend using 5W-30 viscosity?

2. I have never changed the oil in a car myself, but I want to give it a go. Any tricks for young players that I should be aware of and any tips?

I have less idea about these types of things than Owens knows how to play as a left full back...

Any help will be much appreciated!

Cheers,
-tim
