30 odd years ago , there didn't seem to be the same attitude with booze . There was about 16-18 of us used to "hang out" together with a few girls and we could go out all night and none of us would have a drink between us and STILL have a good time . We could have a good time "as sober as" .

Don't know if it was the group I was hanging around with or not , but we'd take a "drive to Katoomba for a burger" or "Gosford for a milkshake" :
