Just before I bought my car someone replaced the fan ecu with a gen part. Last night the fan speed took on a mind of its own going up and down suddenly and randomly. Ford wont warrant the part as it was not fitted by a dealer. Anyway before I splash 400 bucks on a new one is there anything else I should check? (earths ) etc?? anyone else had a dodgy one or two of these?? its only 4 months old. I have receipt from auto elec place that did the job but they are at the other end of the country....
