Default Lancer Cop Car

Saw a real weird one today, wonder if anyone else has seen anything like it?

It was the a new Mitsubishi Lancer cop car, looked to be base model, fully marked, flashing light and all in NSW police colours. Had LSP, At least I think it was LSP on the bonnett, which makes no sense to me as the local cars are marked TL (Tuggerah), BW (Gosford) or LM (Lake Macquarie).

Any how a weird one, I guess the NSW coppers are trialing new General duties cars to save on petrol budget, cant see how a 2.0l Lancer would hold up to full cop duties loaded to the gills with gear.

No pics as it was driving the other way of the Pacific Highway, but if i see one outside the local stations when i go past i get a picture.
