Default Slow in Reverse

A couple of weeks ago i stopped the car, stuck it in reverse, light throttle , she thumped in reverse..like it wasnt quite in reverse then ingages and took up the slack.. It seems to be slower going into reverse then Drive.. If i wait a sec more for reverse to engage it seems ok.. Never noticed it before...Don`t know if i`m too fussy but i`m going too the transmission specilist and get them to road test it.
The car is a AU2 XR8 with only 37,000 kilo`s , so i`m disappointed..We`ll see what the out come is tommorrow..
Cheers
