Calder Park drags are OFF?

Seems they have cancelled all drag events in the near future and word around some of the other forums is that there is some strife going on so they may be closed for most of the year.

From their site

“The Australian Motorsport Club reluctantly advises that due to Circumstances beyond our control we are
unable to conduct the Legal Off Street Drag Racing on the 28th of February this year.
More information will be posted in due course.”

And

“The Australian Motorsport Club reluctantly advises that due to Circumstances beyond our control we are
unable to conduct the National Australian Drag Racing Championships on the 21st of March this year.
More information will be posted in due course.”

Anyone here able to shed some light on this? Also before we go any further this is not to turn into a Calder bag out fest, comments are welcome but not outlandish statements.
