I've read around several forums and the general consensus I have picked up is, "Chiptorque for autos," because of the speed limiter and shift point changes etc or a Unichip if you have that bit of extra cash.
Now the questions: For a 6 cyl Falcon, T5 and cam - just the usual sort of stuff... What is the best option? What benefits do some chips have over others? ie. Wolf 3D v4 Plus, Unichip, Chiptorque. Which one has the flexibility for future upgrades? ie. if I was to go forced one day. How flexible are they getting tuned? What does it usually cost for a supply and tune? I have read $1300 for the Unichip, but I'm quite interested in the price of tuning a Wolf and how it'd perform against a Unichip. What benefits could one expect (better power curve, better economy etc)? The Capa "edit" (using the term loosely) seems like a long way away, and who knows if it will ever be released. Any help for a n00b re. chips is appreciated ![]()
