Red face AUIII XR8 IRS LSD Backlash

Hi can someone give me some info on what is NORMAL backlash on an AUIII XR8 IRS LSD please. It's a manual.

The cars done 102000 it's had the diff oil and additive changed and that quietened it down a fair bit from what it was.

Mainly noticiable when rolling back then starting to move off forward, sometimes just moving forward rolling in 1st on and off the clutch in traffic.

And secondly ford have just "fixed" the gearbox syncro on 5th replaced the cog and syncro complete. The prob is intermittent and is only heard when in 1st or 2nd depressing the clutch ie when coming to a give way sign then back on the power the only way I can describe it is it's like a shaft spinning noise as I said it's intermittent not all the time but happening less since the box has been out.

Could it be clutch related as I'm starting to suspect........

Thanks

Brett
