take your dash out and install them where the factory ones are.

with tweeters you shoudl have got mid ranges and cross overs aswell, from your head unit or amp, put the speaker wire into INPUT on the cross over, then from there you take tweeter to the tweeters place on dash or somehwere else, and midrange to the speaker pods in doors.

with regards to the crossovers- what do they actually do? i know you connect you tweeters too them although are they for regulating the different sounds going to the midrange and tweeter or what?

I think he meant to top panel of the dash where the factory tweeters are..

Nah you just feed the wires through a hole and fish them out with a long screwdriver or coathanger.
