You'de reckon the US would have a good chance of knowing what's going on over there, with the strength of radar and satellite technology they can probably tell when Kim Jong wipes his bum... and even more so recognise launch or detonation sites

Yes the US used that same technology to find evidence of weapons of mass destruction existing in Iraq which they then used to justify their invasion and occupation of that country. :

Its extremely difficult for sattelites to pick up the manafacture of biological and chemical weapons that are being developed in under ground concrete bunkers.

US Intelligence is claiming they found radioactive material in samples they took a few days after the test... altho the first couple of days they were coming back empty handed.

Well its better than N.Korean intelligence, because the way they are going about this is ALL wrong.Right now they have a "couple of friends" but if they push this envelope of theirs, well even their friends are going to turn on them.Surely Kim can not be this stupid, after seeing what happened in Iraq, as to keep provoking all the other countries. Problem is if the US did nothing about Iraq and it turned out he had WMD and sold them off to Terrorists, who then used them against Israel/Europe/Asia guess who's be getting the blame for not doing anything about it when they suspected that may be happening?
