Lisa has asked me to post up a request for anyone in Dubbo to possibly help her out as her cars battery or starter motor has chcucked it in and she is currently stuck at Dubbo hospital in the carpark
MotherNatrue's (Lisa's) mobile number is **** *** ***, if any one can help out a fellow FFAU member. Oh yea, Lisa is at the hospital due to TheCivicMan falling off his bike and breaking his arm on a cattlegrid.... Thats got to hurt!!!! Last edited by xceler8shun; 26-04-2005 at 01:08 PM. |

Well guys I made it back .........
Seems its not the starter motor at all ..... was actually Gunk on the battery terminals :( Amazing what a nail file can do ....... I would recomend everyone carry one :P What an adventurous trip .................. At about 5.30pm the eldest came off his bike on the cattle grid out front of home & I was alerted by the youngest flying into the house at breakneck speed to say he thought the eldest had broken his wrist ;( Off to Dubbo hospital we went ...... only an 80 odd k trip from here ........ Xrays comfirmed the break which is a nasty one of the big bone (not sure of the name of it :P ) He got plastered up in a half cast till Friday when we have to go back for the fracture clinic ...... gotta love bush hospitals :P Went out to the car, which I will say ran great on the way over (remember this way a flying trip as the boy was in much pain) ............ She would click over, flash the lights & nothing more ........ not much fun being stuck in the middle of Dubbo in a dark carpark at 8.30pm ........... With only the light of my mobile phone I had a look & couldnt see a thing ......... I rang my mate who posted this up & then had another look ...... out came the trusty pliars that sit nect to the drivers seat & out came the nail file .......... tried her again & all fixed ............ We got home after dodging 19 Roos, 2 Rabbits, 1 Fox & 1 Bat ....... Was a very slow trip home I must say ......... xceler8shun .... Thanks heaps matey for your moral support & also for putting up this post ...... I figured that late on a Sunday night I wasnt going to be lucky but it was worth the try ;)........... |

When I was in the market for an AU XR about 6 months ago, Heyer Ford was the only one willing to spend time with me in Dubbo and the salesman could tell just by looking at my car it was a "Police Pack" standing from about 10 meters away. I was impressed.
Iverach Motors - dont go there, seems pretty shadey and would not budge on prices, either you pay the money we ask or you get nothing type of response |
