Lets be honest here guys, all engines are hand built to some degree.. weather its every process or most processes its neither her or there, the "hand built" tag makes a nice marketing gimmick, but the reality is it means nothing performance wise.
Some may argue being hand built adds an element of human error into the equation... Either way its the parts chosen and used combined with proper machining and assembly procedure that ultimately determines the performance of the engine. Now if you want to look at adding "blueprinting" to the "hand built" tag as a worthwhile feature im all ears, but the 2 are worlds apart in this case.... Im not trying to "rain on the parade" but i think people are a bit miss-lead by all this.

Mine has been apart recently (well, still sort of is) and it all looks spot on though so he must have read the book pretty well.

I reckon they have a right to feel good about the 'handbuilt' tag, Tickford didn't advertise that they were blueprinted, so why would you bring that into the discussion? I've seen the thread on how it was done, and would feel much better for having the plaque on the engine. Leave them alone. Your Clevo bias is obviously creeping in here! LOL! Leave us Windsor fans alone! LOL! GK
