Default New front shocks

Hello,

My front shocks were diagnosed as too soft on a recent test... I can get genuine ford replacements brand new for $95. Is this a reasonable option? As stupid as the question may sound...
The alternative is some ULTIMA shocks for $65 more.

My rears are soft too, but I'm less concerned about those for the time being. I assume it would be ok to have one type on the front and put a different brand on the rear at a later time?

Cheers

Matt.

Remember the last thread on this? Ultima, Monroe Pedders, KYB and Gabriel are all better than stock. I'd probably go Monroe myself GT Gas myself. See how much dearer they are than the $150 per set Ultimas.

If they are lots more expensive, perhaps give the Ultimas a try. Many blokes here recommended them.

All the best with it,

GK

Monroe make the Tickford shocks, not sure about standard Ford ones though, but it would make sense that they're also Monroe.

Gabriel SVT(?) shocks - they're black - are pretty good, or just bite the bullet and go for Konis!

Also, the shocks should be around $100 mark EACH, not a pair. And right and front are not a pair - left and front (oops, right) are!

Haha, slip of the typing fingers there... Left and right I meant.

Here is the link - (if any of you buggers jump on it I'll kill you :P) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA:IT&ih=019

Basically, I'd love to lessen the softness currently in the front end, but whilst also spending as little as possible.

Thanks for the link. I just hit "Buy now" and got myself a set - that's a great price. (j/k about the buy now bit).
