oh, and to think i was gonna put a pic up of mine :P

basicly pull the door tims off, and undo the 2 nuts holding the handle on. also unclip the rod. takes about 30 minutes each door to so start to finish.

the rears are hardest because of the metal guard thing, i ended up drilling mine out then re-pop riviting it back in.

heres a pic anyways....

I just replaced all the handles on my car, and John's pretty much on the money there.

Just be sure to take your time when removing all the parts, and perhaps have a pop riviter handy. I just drilled mine out and replaced them with self tapping screws. Means if I ever want or have to change them again, don't have to stuff about with bloody pop rivits.

It's pretty strait foward, but it always helps to have a mate handy...

Straight swap, I have done EL handles on my EA, while you have got all the handles and locks easliy accessable you may want to consider going to tibbe lock if you dont have them already.

The other thing is the handles are a different shape slightly and so sit slightly smaller against the door so if under your handles currently the paint is marked then you will see the marks, mostly around the part where the lock is towards the bottom (think that makes sense).

Also FYI:
EF door handles have a hole for a lock on the passenger side and one on the driver side.
EL door handles only have a lock hole on the driver side.

I noticed the doorhandles on your car yesterday. Not bad. Did you buy them in that colour, because I noticed there was a bit of paint mismatch between the doors and the handles. Not too obvious though.

Off topic, but hows the headlight?

Yeah they are EL classic colour close match but as you said not perfect, I have to paint them yet (its on the growing list of parts to paint).

Headlight is back to normal, removed it, popped it apart, bit of silicon on the chrome ring this time, so hopefully it stays where it is this time.

How much should it cost to paint 4 door handles? I don't think many EF/L's came in Jarrah :
