Default squeek squeek squeek

My car has developed a squeek coming from the fan belt area. I replaced the fan belt, two idler pulleys and the tensioner pully. Still I get the squeek, squeek, squeek. Several people have looked at it (even with the stethascope thing) and they all say its coming from there somewhere.

I took it to an aircon guy and he told me to turn the aircon on and off a couple of times and he said its not the aircon.

Any ideas ? its an XR8 ser 111

Power steering pump ?
Mine seems a bit noisy like a bearing squeal that comes and goes.

I have a squeak which I finally tracked down by trial and error to the air-con compressor, I just spray a little wd40 into the pulley/electric clutch and it goes away for a few months.

Cheers,

Simon

Thanks XRLNT-8. I will give it a spray tonight. Did it stop squeeking when the aircon was turned off ?

Hi Bill,

The squeak is there while aircon is on or off. There is a small gap between the pulley and clutch which is where I spray and instantly the squeak goes.

Good luck,

Simon
