From memory one of the fella's on here did that, changed them to blue, do a quick search and see if you can find it, came up quite nice. Apparently bit of soldering involved as they are soldered into the board.

Do you know how much they charge for it? I'd love to do my car, but the thought of buggering my dash worries me because it's all wired into the ECM and the immobiliser system...

Mullett, can't tell you how much someone would charge you to do it, depends on who it was I suppose. I charge $350 to do the whole lot, which includes the cluster, HVAC controls, stereo (where applicable), window switches and headlight switch. Go to an auto electrician or someone who specialises in soldering and see what price they could do for you. Bearing in mind that you would have to take the parts to them individually (just the PCB), and have them solder the new LEDs on for you.

Just thinking aloud here, perhaps if you go to a electronics repair place or a mobile phone repair place, in the late 90s and early 2000s, changing the LEDs on a mobile phone was pretty common place. Even though the market has dropped off for that kind of thing I recon they'd still have the tools and knowledge to do it. Phone LEDs are a lot smaller than the ones you'd use on the car.
