For a while, TRD (Toyota Racing Development) was popular... I mean, would you really put TURD stickers all over your car? :
Now I've noticed it's changed to TTR (Toyota Team Racing)... great, replace turd with a stutter :

last night i saw a lancer out at chermside with those bloody stickers up the side of both front doors, the ones i remember were turbosmart, apexi, ralliart. had a look at the exhaust to see if that was at least aftermarket, what did i see but a dodgee clamp on tip and stock system! while me n my mates were out there ****in ourselves laughing and laying abuse on the POS, the owner came out,i don't think i've ever seen someone so red LOL, "thats how i bought it" was the excuse LOL. honestly i don't understand how cosmetics are going to make you car any better

However, there are some cases, such as if you replace an engine with a better one, where there might be a case for putting a different badge on, such as replacing a 1.6 badge with a 2.0, or replacing 3.3 with 4.1

Slightly O/T: Still my personal favourite .. VT Exec with "Clubby" kit. I *hate* that!!! On the LS1 forum, people often discuss wether it's better to buy a HSV or a Monaro. For my money it's always the Monaro. There are too many "wannabees" with kitted V6 Commodores ....... it's gonna take a lot of effort to make a Exec look like a Monaro
.. I suppose it all relates to dilution of performance brands? |
