Well, I have written off my car sadly.
Near to no damage you can see, went over a rock and it hit a welded in cross bar between the chassis rails on a Triton ute. I didnt care too much for that dent (about the size of a computer mouse) and wouldnt have minded to keep driving it with it, but seeing as though they want to give me a new car...(I had mine for 10 months) They say they give a replacement to what you had, but I would like to upgrade it to at least have side airbags (mine didnt have them) and also possibly from 2wd to 4wd. Anyone had any luck with that? I wouldnt mind paying the difference. Over the phone they seem to not want to do it, but I think I can tell in their voice if you push you should be able to. |

So this is insurance you're talking about? They can only say no to you so keep pushing for it I guess.

See if they will let you pay the difference for the upgrades, worth a shot.

They may point you to a dealer for the replacement. If that's the case, you can probably do an upgrade deal with the dealer.
