But not a gain like this. Typical good running 2015 - 2017 Coyotes I've seen around 110 mph. Depending on day and track, some a little more, some a little less. Going through the traps at 117 mph is a 7 mph gain. That is horsepower or weight reduction or a combination of both. |

A mag I have at home is saying sub 4 seconds 0-60mph for the 10 speed auto.
Say 0-100km/h in 4.0 or 4.1 - Pretty impressive. |

As Boss said, RHS header is more restrictive than US cars. This is due to a narrowing of one section to clear steering on the RHD models. Fit headers and this disappears.
Not sure yet if this has been addressed on MY18.

Review with the Chief Program Engineer. I like this new platform, not as nose-heavy as the previous generations - got a lovely note to it:

If those performance numbers are accurate and measure up out here I might come back to the blue oval.
I jumped the fence for performance when they lost the v8 and the first mustangs here didnt keep up. Not to mention the lack of tech/decontenting over a long time like in my GT. But I miss having a v8 no matter how good the 5cyl is and was even considering a camaro since fords offerings were all slower than what I moved to and I couldnt afford the rs6/7 performance! Bring on 2018

I think part of the problem is Foa are not used to "ANNUAL 3rd quarter model updates".................I know this will not happen. But it would be a great opportunity for Foa to pull FPV back off the shelf as a warrantied factory tuner that could access the latest US Ford parts bin for Mustang and gives Aussie customers an option to have the latest Performance Pack updates.......at a price of course.

We're both wrong, weight difference is somewhere in between.
FGX XR8 kerb weight = 1861 kg XR8 Weight 2018 Mustang GT Auto kerb (curb in American) weight = 3733 lb = 1693 kg Mustang Weight Difference of 168kg, which isn't insignificant

Euro spec V8 goes up to 443 bhp from 412. Not sure if that conversion has been done right though as it also says the US spec cars are 454 hp when they are actually 460 hp.
So the numbers might be a bit skewed. But it seems like the power drop is less this time around. Probably due to the new bi-modal exhaust that means they don't need to run such a restrictive exhaust to pass drive by noise tests. And I think most of the drop can be attributed to the conversion to ECE power ratings and not DIN. The RHD exhaust manifold has been quoted previously as a 4 kw drop cause it's more restrictive to get around the RHD steering shaft. So it looks like the RHD cars should be just as potent as the US spec cars are, or extremely close to it. |

A mate of mine has one of these on order, I can't wait.
I'm sure you'll see a 2nd hand 2015 popup on car sales soon. They are bloody impressive so far... The biggest question for me is manual or auto? Boss I think you have it right in the 2nd paragraph. The anomaly is in the standards conversion.
