Good ol Vals.
Always wanted one but couldn't get my head around saying I owned a Valiant.
The above but VG Pacer I longed for.

Yer got to say I always tought it was puke how they did up PV's but all to its own.
Being a very regular surfer back in those days, all I would have thrown in the back is a mattress - thrown down could have been something else as well

Too funny all the Mum's would have thought - my daughter won't be in the back of that thing lol.......
Little did some know.

It was rough and ready no floor mats or insulation, just a mattress and 2 Pioneer floor speakers with a tiny 40watt amp lol, and running a Repco Crossflow head on the old grey motor twin exhaust with Lukey mufflers, sounded like a 302.....perfect, dident go like a 302 though, but it was quick for a grey motor!

I remember my father bought me one of each of these as a kid before I got my licence.

Lots to love about this one.....the rims, interior rear is super neat and tasteful, custom pieces not gawdy.
The solar connects to car for camping time?..and attaching panel to surfboard just someones idea of neat and clever??

Agreed a very nice tastefully done re build.
Not ott I actually think it’s perfect.
V8 - wheels are brilliant.
Yer the board and solar panels is out there - wonder what it’s powering.

Took these a couple of weeks ago.
With the Gepps Cross drive-in closing down permanently we made sure to make a few visits before it was all over.

A MadMax doco called Beyond the Wasteland was first up, followed by Mad Max the week after. We also went and saw Grease which was a huge turnout, every spot had a car, never seen it so busy. What a shame its all over.

A known 70's trick I had done to my other vans in the past.

Poverty pack option....
Painting the barn door window surrounds to make them look more like a upper gate and lower gate.

Removed the crap window tinting as well, thought I give it the old trick of spraying the inside of the window gloss black and leaving little strips in the paint for suttle rear vision.

Ford71V8 great pictures btw.

Thumbs up Re: Panel Vans in the 70s

Painting it like that really works well.
Never considered painting the inside of the windows like that, interesting
