IMO - $4,500 would be a good buy, $5,500 would lose my interest.

$5500 would be a good price due to the LPG and the fact it's a fairmont.
edit: by that I mean 5.5k would be a bargain. I expect it would go for more like $7K Last edited by fo3oz; 05-07-2006 at 10:02 PM. |

Coolant Stains, thats a bit scary.
Being Dual Fuel is worth good money though, it seems like around $5500 would be an Ok price. Just give a real good look over, i soldan immaculate EL (I spent that bloody much on it- No gas) last year for only $5,400. I wouldnt pay more than $6400 really, as you could get a clean EF Fairmont yourself and put it on gas for that amount. That being said ive seen LPG EL's go for stupid prices (Think 8K)

Cheeza, 9k for a 6cyl Fairmont with +200k's is excessive. I'm selling an 5.0ltr EF Ghia for much less..... Mechanically sound, interior faultless, never overheated, no leaks etc etc etc. For $9k I'd give it to you as a new car and fly you here to get it!

Like I said, it's not worth more than $7k, he won't get $9k for it.
When I got my 97 falcon a few years back, he wanted 9.5k for it. I went back 3 weeks later and offered 7.7k and he accepted. It's a buyers market with falcons, most buyers will go elsewhere if the price is too high, there's a lot of them for sale. Most sellers are needing to sell because they need the cash for a new car they've got their eye on or have already bought, or deposit on a house. There's no point in them holding out for a better offer usually, if they wait too long the car depreciates and all offers will become even lower. So don't worry if you can't convince this seller, there's heaps around, I even did my own search on carsales and there were some lpg ones on there with lower kms than that one. |
