Hi all
Was looking at getting personalised plates soon and wanted to know what everyone thinks would look better on my car. I have a BA XR6 and want slimline for the front plate, but dont know what i should have for the rear, slimline or normal?? If anyone has pics of the 2 styles i would love to see them, any help would be great. Cheers Steve |

It might help to tell people what state you are in.

Slimlines look crap on the rear of a BA IMO. It already has a spot for a large plate, so it looks stupid having a small one on there.
The front on the other hand I think looks better with a slimline. |

Slimlines look real odd on the rear of BA's. They look best on the front however.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think two slimlines is an option.

I agree with others so far... Slimline for front, and standard for the back. Don't go USA style either.

BA's have holes for the bottom of a standard sized number plate in the bootlid, which look stupid with a slimline plate unless you do something else to cover them

I saw a BA today with slimlines on the back and it didn't look good sitting in that recess made only for a large one. But they are spot on for the front.
I agree with Pedro, I didnt think it was an option too, but I'm fairly cerrtain this was a Qld car with them on. |

On my BF GT i have a slimline plate at the front & standard size on the rear. I think the slimlines look a bit to small on the rear. I also recommend KingPin number plate covers, they are one of the nicer ones on the market.

Yep the slim one is now available in QLD for the rear BUT on a BA or even an AU for that with the 4 permanent holes for a full size plate go the full size and you can stick 4 one way screws in it as well without drilling into the boot lid
My AU has a slim on the front and the full size on the rear.

QLD Slimline plates must be different to NSW. I have NSW slimline plates (F&R) and they look fine. And you cant see any holes...

I had Vic slimline plates on my BA, same size as Aeron's set above. I thought they looked fine.
I'm sure there was only provision for the top screws also, no bottom holes. I know AU's have these bottom holes for fullsize at the rear and yeah, slimlines look poor with these exposed.
