Similar to the thread on what you do with your old oil, but this is for old coolant where the quantity is a lot more, and is therefore more difficult to get rid of.
You can't treat fence posts with it, you can't pour it down the drain (I hope people don't). What do people do with it? |

Usually in the driveway (mostly dirt.)
Same place as all my transmission fluid. (Forgot to drain it when pulling out engine/trans combo. D'oh! it makes a real big, sticky mess.) |

i wait for mine to weep down the side of the block because of my blown head gasket - pretty fun topping up coolant every 3 or 4 days

Place it in a bucket outside and allow the solution to Evaporate. Clean up the residue and place it in a bin.

When flushing out the radiator it's very hard not to get it all over the place. If you got a touch of lawn just drive the front up on it and let it go into the lawn.

Put it in bottles and sell it as home brew.

I mix it with my $2 bottles of red and rebadge it as Grange.
Seriously, either on the grass or down the drain

Tip it into the neighbours swimming pool :
Yeah joking... : Haven't had the chance to actually 'change' the coolant.. maybe now the newer radiator is in that might happen instead of leaving it wherever we are cruising too (or should I say at the stopping spots) :

from my experience, it only kills grass if its really hot...
i mainly let it out on the grass, and i have done it quite a few times. i hope everyone else changes their coolant every 12 months.

Well actually last night I changed my coolant at my mate's place, we were putting in a new thermostat, clutch fan and cleaning the gunk out from between the radiator core and the condenser. All the coolant went on his gravel driveway. Eventually it soaked through the ground underneath– out of sight, out of mind. We're probably branded as environmental vandals, but there you go.
