Hi eric66

Easy to put up a new question (thread) Just go to the section you want to ask your question in and up the top is a button - New Thread. Click on that, enter your title and in the main body of the thread, ask you question. You can preview your post before submitting or just submit it.

Hope that helps you

Cheers

Down the bottom of the front page is the 'Sales Yard'.
The 'Wanted Car bits and other general items' should be what you're looking for.

G'day

I've been following updates on the new FGX Falcon for a while.
I first started driving on my L's in a BA Falcon and not many cars match its torque from low yet practical RPM range thanks to its 4.0L Inline-6.
I went on a defensive driving course and took very good advantage of its rear wheel drive goodness!
I'm looking forward to owning my very own Falcon soon!

Goodaye Fellow Ford Nuts. Have had an interest and sometimes association with Ford products all my life beginning with my father owing several Mainline utes, a '54 F100 and an XM ute. Personal ownership started with a 54 Mainline Ute and then an XL Squire Wagon, an XT GT 4 speed (a magic car), an XW Windsor 351 GT and a Lotus Twin Cam Escort (another magic car).
As you can see from that list I am no spring chicken. My current interest and the driver for joining this forum is my current interest in the 66/67 Falcon Sport Coupes as sold in the states. An interest with the view of possibly purchasing one. If you know of one for wales I'd appreciate a PM. Thanks

Hi my guys my name Archie. I work at ford in the campbelfield manufacturing as a fitter and tuner. I have just bought a Ford Ranger PX 2014. I also own a Ford FG XR6T. Both are amazing cars. What a beast of a car the Ford Ranger is. I have added a lot of goodies to the ranger from Arb, fleetrades and A Grade Upholstery. It looks amazing and i look forward to the ranger discussions.

G'day, Kris here. I've been without a v8 for about 8 years. Back in 2002 I had an xf ute that ran 11.55 1/4, then bought a 1970 capri that I never fininshed and a Polynesian Green DC LTD that was going to be the tow car, that I have back but need to get rid of to make room for the XR8.
Last week I bought a very tidy 1992 EB XR8, full credit to the young bloke that had it before me for keeping it so tidy. The plans are to get a dart block and put 4.125" bored 3" stroked windsor in it down the track or a 434ci......decisions decisions

Hi everyone, what an awesome and useful site that you have here, top job to everyone for contributing.

As it is obvious I'm new not only to the forum but to the whole Ford way of life. I have been converted to turbo by a mate that has an F6 Typhoon #005, once I was let loose in that I haven't had a chance to look back.

I've been a fence sitter for the last few months, recently purchasing a Silhouette BA Mk2, which broke and got stolen. This was a massive change coming from a 5.7L VZ SS (still with holden badges- so I'm not full gay). Only having the car for a month I started to see the differences and advantages the XR6 has over the V8, and that was only an N/A. So needless to say I was slightly dissapointed when it got stolen because I hadnt got a chance to see its full potential.

However after sometime when insurance decided to pay out, my mate, convinced me to get my own turbo. After driving the SS for nearly 6 hours, and 2 disappointments we came across the car I now own, and man I'll only drive the Commodore now if that brakes. We somehow scored a BA XR6T 5 Speed manual with all the options including sunroof in the color Phantom.

Anyway long story short, I signed up to see what guys were doing, and because I've got no idea what the hell I'm doing when it comes to anything on a ford (so the technical section)

Some tough sounding Fords there Pete.

Hi, my name is Peter, I am new on the forum today, love the knowledge posted by people who know a lot more about Fords than me. One of my first cars was a 1952 Ford Prefect.(!). I worked at Ford Broadmeadows assembly plant as a trainee mechanical engineer for a few months in 1970-71 when they expanded the line from 40 to 50 cars per hour. My job was helping some tradesmen overhaul, upgrade and reinstall the pneumatics on the finishing line. I saw some beautiful cars go down that line; all over soon for car making in Australia sadly.
Now I live semi retired in the bush in Central Victoria with an old EA Fairmont Ghia (142000km), an NF Fairlane Ghia (327000km), a basic '99 Courier Twin Cab 2WD petrol (306000km) and a 2003 Mazda 323 (98000km). (The last two are only a little bit like real Fords.)
All stock basic transport for the family, going and registered but like their owner needing some maintenance and repair.
Last night I reattached the little turquoise climate control vacuum line to the multi plug thing behind the glove box on the EA. I had stupidly pulled on it a little too hard in the engine bay while reattaching to the heater valve. Should have known better. So I learned something new. And something works again. This afternoon I will put the hard plastic glove box assembly back in. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Thumbs up Re: Welcome to New Members - Post here to say gday!

Hi all my name is Mark and I am brand new to the Forum I have just purchased a totally original ZA fairlane and beginning the process of bringing it back to its glory days. I have it registered so I can get some on-road miles before I begin to tear it down.

Will probably be asking me questions during this time so please bear with me. Anyway its great to be part of the forum and I look forward to exploring all that is on offer.

Cheers

My name is Barry. I have used the forums many times before and have found it quite useful.

I have a 1994 ED Tickford Sprint 5 speed manual. The car is completely stock to look at, but with a full factory body kit. The engine is not however. It is stroked to 347 cu, ported and polished, chipped and has a 2.5 inch exhaust from the extractors into a single rear pipe. 207 RWKW on the dyno. Don't have an ET for quarter mile or zero to 100 KPH yet but will when the opportunity arises. Happy to chat about it.

Regards, Barry

Hi All, I have owned 3 Falcons, and ED and an AU; the first two have run for high K's, the third is on its way there! Years ago when money was very tight the need for something more cost effective in EVERY way had me abandoning my Fiats and becoming a Falcon person. Now I have a 2008 G6ET on LPG, just approaching 160,000km. This forum has helped me avoid several problems over the years and I'm grateful to the clever people who take the time to help mugs like me!
