I don't think an alignment is going to fix that somehow. It sounds like "something" is gone and needs replacing. If it was shudder that starts at a specific speed it might be as simple as a balance but the fact you get it when turning one way indicates a repair might be needed.

Had it for about 7 months and done about 5,000km.

In that time:

Done:
Ferodo Pads all round
New (manual) Pedal Box
Full Service (including new sump plug, bled brakes etc)
Wheel Alignment and Balance
Altenator Rebuild
Wiper Blades
Rego/CTP/Transfer Fee/Stamp Duty/Late Fee

Bought and To be Fitted ASAP:
Autogauge 2" Water Gauge
MSD Coil, Cap, Rotor and Leads
Autolite Platinum Plugs
New Front 225/50/16's

Imminent:
Set of Engine Mounts
Gearbox 'flushed and filled' with Transmax Z
Diff 'flushed and filled' with LS90.
UnMelted EGR

Due for Replacement:
Oxy Sensors
Fuel Pump
MAF
Chiptorque (2nd Hand, Custom Programming)

Spent around $2300 on top of Purchase Price (including rego) with only a few hundred to go before I'm happy with the maintainence and safety side of the thing, then I can add some doo-dads etc and so on.

Not really. That was for under drives plus labour, throttle body and egr spacer plus labour.
Throttle body is not just a straight swap over thanks to the Americans having their engine the wrong way round
