the best way to describe this is there is a big frame spacer between the blower and the block.
good old james scarlett had both these cars at Spring Nats. set the ute on fire he did! dont get me wrong im a full on ford fan but i love to see James Scarlett, Peter Gray (usa 502 camaro), Clint oglvie (pink torrie), and Gary Myres all shred there siht on the burnout pad.

the blue smoke is from speacial tyres called Monoform. sold from SA somewhere. blue, red, yellow, etc....

why do burnouts? coz its great fun! the noise, the smoke, the adrenaline rush, doing it legally... all good reasons to enter a burnout comp. id prefer to see em in a controlled enviroment rather than down the local cruise spot!

Arrgghhh not quite. Us WA boys will know this car well. The owner and his Dad run Pure Grunt Performance in Rockingham. The flares are Bluetacked on and blowing them off is part of his run. Good to see it's back together after hitting the wall at Motorvation last year. As far as the tyre marks on the paint... The sole purpose of this and other cars is to do this. Beside would you care...look at that colour...YUK. Great car though.

Hey but it's not my money
My Daughter is just your average kid (20) , bit of a "tomboy I suppose" , careful driver (not a hoon) but she went to the Nat's Friday & Sunday just to watch the burnouts - Her Quote = " The tyres popping , the smoke & flames, cars revving , but doing it Legally & Safely . A real BUZZ to watch ".

Also she had a couple of friends entered . Better than doing it on the roads & getting busted or hurting someone .

Sensable I suppose , she's got no inclination to do it herself.

Just like me I reckon , I LOVE speed , so went to about every car race 1971-1980 in Sydney & competed "on the track" 1974-1986 , but was a "grandpa" on the roads . (still got my racecar) . It got the speed out of my system in the right place .

The tyres are called Smokin' Joe's and are an Australian made product from Victoria. Not on the market just yet but will be very shortly and they'll be A LOT cheaper than Kumhos.

Only blue's available right now (boss is a Ford nut) but other colours will be available through time.
