what type of place do you think would be able to make up alloy ones? somewhere like a fabricating company, or are they too small?

To make alloy ones you could do 1 of 2 things... full on CNC lathe/mill from billet alloy OR alloy casting... the billet would be alot stronger, but either way it will be expensive... very expensive...

I just revived a weak motor that couldn't push the lock open and closed. You need to prize open the motor with the two tabs and get the bushes. scrape away at the bushes and motor shaft with a flat head screwdriver and plenty of contact cleaner.
Goes like new. |

even if someone could even make the plastic ones, and sell them for $10 or something they would make a killing on ebay..... with instructions how to fit etc could be a nice little side business.
