nice name welcome

I haven't had any luck with handbrake turns, on bitumen anyhow. Gave it a good pull one night *cough* and it didn't seem to have enough bite to lock the rears (WQ)

Talking

G'day all, i've been reading the site for a week or two now and thought i would introduce myself. After almost giving up on a fiesta within my budget and condtion requirements I got my one just shy of 4 weeks ago.

It was the right price and only had 26k klms on it, so i was stoked. It came with a set of roof racks (currently on ebay :nutsycuck ) which i have removed, some one hacked up the roof mouldings very badly to fit them though so i had to buy some new moulds from ford.
I've already had the front doors apart and sound deadned them and upgraded the speakers to some JL audios.
The car will be getting a few tastfull mods (rims, lowered and tint) and the rest of the stereo and thats it. i spend about an hour a day in the car just to and from work and i plan to keep the car for several years, so i want it all sensable.

I've had heaps of modified cars over the years such as a Proton Satria GTi, a MK2 Escort (still got it and half heartly selling it) and 5 different mazda RX-7's at all sorts of levels performance and power. (i'm an admin on ausrotary.com). so yeah its nice to have something modern and quite again.

Car: '04 Zetec Colorado Red
Best thing about it: Nice small car size, but i can fit in the wife and our daughter in for a sunday drive.
Best Mod Done: removed the dealer fitted roof racks and shortend the antenna
Money No Option Mod: hmmm well as its never gonna happen for me, but a 2lt turbocharged 4cyl withs a nice solid all wheel drive drive line making say 250-300 hp at the wheels the car would still weigh less than 1150-1200kg, that would be FUN! :

Awesome! Welcome to the forum Adam. Colorado Red is one of my fav colours for WP Fiestas.

It's worthwhile to check out www.eurofordclub.com/forum .... a lot of us euro Ford owners hang out there.

Hi there, My name is Peter and I'm from Southampton UK.

So why am I joining an Australian Ford forum?

Well,

After a few years following the V8 supercars as best I can I'm firmly in the Ford camp (Lowndes wuz Robbed!)

I visited Australia a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much I'll be back there in a couple more months and

Ford cars have improved so much recently that-

I now own a Fiesta ST - and want to make you Jokers jealous :evil3:

Damn, I wish I could sqeeze it into my suitcase so I could have some fun in the Adelaide Hills.

If I can help in any way with info I'll do my best.

Hi all. Heaps of great stuff on here and I'm going home tonight to check out my spark plugs......nervously....

Name: Adam
Age: 35
Location: Melbourne
Occupation: Business Analyst (yeah it bores me too)
Car: 2006 Fiesta Zetec Sea Grey (Auto)
Best thing about it: Handling, Looks, Wheels, Style (and I'd like to include build quality but I'll wait to iron out my concerns first!!)
Worst thing about it: Some ***** in an Xtrail opened her door into it yesterday in the supermarket carpark and has left a dent. She denied it despite me seeing her!
Best Mod Done: None so far but could look into a bit of sound deadening (anyone recommend an expert aftermarket shop in Melbourne that could do it for me?) and maybe a stereo upgrade but that 2.5 din issue might cause some grief and I like the remote stereo control functioning....
Money No Option Mod: XR4....or the new Clio Sport if we ever get it down under.

Nothing illegal kiddies but take a look at where I live and think of what is the biggest site out there... I was at Williamtown in Newcaste before that...
We are not allowed to advertise who we work for due to some websites actually trying to gather this sort of info...
