G'day everyone. It is about time I joined this forum. I am a diehard ford nut. I hate GM with a passion. My baby is a 79 Zh Marquis. I have had it almost 13 years. Factory black velour interior,T Code 351 with Fmx. Up untill about a year ago I drove it nearly every day. Body looks like it has done 100,000 kays but it has done 536000klms. Rebuilt stock spec engine done almost 80,000. I have a major soft spot for Tf Cortinas. I have had about 7 over the years. I miss my old engine. Was almost nudging 350hp.(4.1) I have a tidy Tf Cortina ghia wagon. It has a 4.1 auto but will be a manual in the next few weekends. I follow V8 supercars and have a shed full of raced panels and wheels.I built the shed out the back to freeup downstairs to turn in to a huge Ford room / mancave. I can't wait to display all my model cars and memorabillia.
I have been wanting a EL2 Xr8 manual in cobalt or maroon. Fell in luv with them at first sight. Been saving and will be hunting seriously at the end of the year. The missus wants a new focus around tax time. I will be keeping The beast and the Corty.
That will do for now. I hope your eyes do not hurt.

Hey guys,
Currently I'm doing a research project on the Ford Territories and the impact that it first did to the SUV market in 2004. If any of you guys own a Ford Territory and don't mind answering a few question, hit me up with a private message.

Thanks a lot.

Welcome.

You may want to ask your question to the territory owners in the territory section.

Hi I have a gtp with starting issues. It is an intermittent fault. We have replaced. Fuel pump, checked the fuel reg, the computer has been checked. It is firing on seven cylinders on some occaisions. No mechanic seems to be able to come up with a solution, nor does ford care. Has anyone had any similar problems with their gtp or gt that may be able to shed some light on the problem or know a mechanic in Vic that specialists in fpv cars?

Hi All,
Sorry, I've only been lurking for the past couple of years after purchasing new a 2010 TX Terri 4WD 6Speed Auto. Haven't had anything to whinge about so far (33K.km ) but over the last few months have noticed a peculiar whine..possibly transmission.. only on the float..light throttle..power on/off mainly but not only, observed in Cruise control...any speed between 70 to 100Kph. Whine/noise is more noticeable after say a 100Km run.
Any suggestions as to what could be causing this will be most appreciated.
Regards to all, davden.

Hi Davden,

I'm on my 7th Ford and have had experienced that whining sound on 3 of them
although admittedly, it usually happened at low speeds too. Before you spend a fortune diagnosing the problem, or paying to have things fixed that probably didn't need fixing, try this first ... top up your power steering fluid. I've had mechanic's argue with me that it can't be that and then scratch their heads when a little PS Fluid makes the whine immediately disappear. It may be something else with yours but I'd try the cheapest option first. Good luck.

Hi Guys and Girls, First of all thanks to the admin crew on this sight. Its helped me out off some real tight bends. My ride is a 2004 Blue Print Mll BA XR8 with the best sounding exhaust this side of the black stump. I also have a 1989 Ford Courier Dual Cab 4WD as my run about. Been a big fan off ford V8s for as long as I can remember. Probably owned close to 50 different fords to date. Hasn't that caused a few loud discussions with the home co over the years. All in fun though. Hence why I thought it was time to get of my backside and join in the fun here. So if any off you are cruising through Wagin (Home of the giant ram 2 hrs south east off Perth)drop in for a brew or two. Just drop us a line
Cheers Drew and Tam

Howdy,

My name is Marschy, currently driving an 2009 FG XR6. I'm looking for ideas on wiring up a Tekonsha P3 brake controller. Is it easier to wire through the inside of the vehicle by pulling out trim, or under the vehicle through the chassis rails. Any advise would be welcomed. Also any feed back on the best place to locate the controller would be great.

Cheers, Marschy

Hello, folks . I've lurked here for a little bit - started using my daily-driver XW 302W as a pretty long-distance vehicle in the last month to get me to work and back though, and it's shaking down a whole host of little issues from the last fifteen years of having almost no work done. Figured there'd be a hell of a lot of good solid knowledge here to help me address those as I go!

Owned my first XY in 1993, and never owned anything but '69-71 Falcons, Fairmonts and Futuras. I kinda like that record. It's a pretty well-ingrained habit now...

Hey guys, new to the forums here. Just got myself an 11 FG XR6T in Vixen. Keen to learn a bit more about possible mods I can make and get to know a few people on here. Feel free to give me a PM, especially if you're in the Newcastle/Maitland area.

Cheers

Hey guys, I'm Paul, I have an old AU Fairmont 1998, I have got a problem a problem with the heater. It will run fine for a while and when the engine temp reaches normal the heater go cold and the AC comes on and blows cold air, if you stop and the engine temp drops the heater works again until the engine temp comes up again then it switches to AC again....Any ideas?

Hello all, my name is Steve Mason, i own my own car detailing business in Port Macquarie NSW called GET DETAILED, i own a 2011 FG XR6 Limited Edition in Viper Purple, sign written with business name and details and black and green personalised plates. my son-in-law signed me up so that i could get ideas on how to improve the aesthetics of my XR6.

I am virtually computer illiterate, so this will probably my one an only post, unless i get my son-in-law or daughter to put it up.

Thankyou all,
Steve Mason
