hey guys i am seconds away from buying this...
http://www.gtechpro.com/test.html they can be brought off ebay for $400 AUS does anyone have any experiance with these? i had the old old old one and it seemed quite accurate, i recored a 13.9 second pass with it, then changed my carby to a smaller size and ran a 14.2 at the actual track, seemed quite on the miney because the car was noticibly slower with the small carb *note* that was the old motor...i would hang myself if i ran a 14 with this one lol

I too have used the previous model G-Tech. Found it to be consistent.
Good luck with the new one! That model has a heap of features

yeh they are good i had a old one.....didnt trust the rwhp that much but the times were acurate..... 13.3 in my mr2 turbo........ 0-100 5.6

the rwhp will read lower then on a dyno simply because of areo resistance

hahaha i dont have a cage so i have to make my 1 run a good un!
me n my mates are gonna share it and i gonna use it to test differant plugs and brake pads, also a good way to teach myself to tune the carby well better anyway, im gonna see what the best shift point is ect ect

oh it wont do that first time! but if i run an 11 it will need tailshaft loop and all that other bullocks!
the diff is in...OMG! big differance! (3.9 gears) and i really really love detroit tru-tracks! all up it cost me more then 3,500! oh and we put in the 7,000rpm pill FUN FUN FUN! the rear brakes are DBA slotted rotor with new girlock calipers and bendix pads...they seem real good, much safer now lol

Tailshaft loop = $50, mechanic to bolt it to the floor= $50, no big deal or do it your self for nothing, add a cage when told to. Don't no any other mod's for an 11 sec car. Let them worry if you hit the 10's.

yes but to test things such as a one inch spacer/tunes/timing cost $30 for three runs, and for any accurate mesurement of say, a one inch spacer, you would need to do three runs with the space and three runs without,
then times are differant on the strip due to differant rollouts, track temps (becuse it would take two wednesday nights per test) where as technology has been around for years to estimate distance traveled using a gforce/time relationship. it really is simple and accurate technology, im not using it as a tool to compare ET's or even as any form as mesurement comparison i.e. dyno hp to gtech hp, the thing they ARE good for is being consistent and so consistent that you could rely on one to test changes in...suspension, tuning, engine parts, braking, shift points, rev points ect, and cuz it looks cool and i want it lol :P
