Following on from another thread where this battle started along with the fact summer is coming upon us quickly I thought I'd start a poll on it.
For me it's stubbies, nothing beats a good ice cold stubbie on a hot day (or any other day for that matter) and I reckon beer always tastes best and fresher from glass.

I've always been a glass man. But as someone who does their own beer at a micro brewery (U Brew It) I've gone cans.
To bottle 50L of your own brew means washing a whole bunch of stubbies, or half as many long necks. Filling those bottles tends to waste a lot of beer too. The guys at U Brew It have now got a canning setup, that fills 50ml cans perfectly, and seals it with a lid. I never actually drink the beer from the can, once opened it goes straight into a stein glass (October fest, 1993) If bought from a bottle-o - always glass.

Stubbies for sure, tinnies lead to bad hangovers I find.

Where is the goon cask? I believe it's a legitimate alcohol recipticle which is far more useful, safer, and enjoyable then stubbies or tinnies. Then again, I'm a tight .

Yeah Stubbies for Taste all the way - We could broaden this and say mid Strength or full strength lol -
I went through a phase of drinking VB and Tooyeys New in Cans - I grew to like the taste - But the practically is 10 fold over bottles - Stack more in the fridge Put more in the Bin Make Beer Can walls The sound from cracking one is sublime Can't be used to bottle someone lol |

Tinnies in 375ml yes. Stubbies in 375ml yes.
Stubbies in 345ml or less...... not a chance! I was bought up on Cans. Living up north, they "travelled" better. (or so the old man always said) My beer fridge contains both.

I very rarely drink beer so I voted for the third option.
I prefer it in a schooner glass, dont like beer any other way.

When God visited Australia he invented the Stubbie, Pot, Middy and
Skooner (spelling?? I'm from Melbourne) All else is but a mere carrying device, even when I'm on the road I put a glass in the eski even if I'm carrying cans for convenience. Amen! |

on tap... nah, some stubbies on ice are always good. Tinnies just don't taste the same to me.

Aint it a bugger though when you've been on the stubbies all night, they run out and you start on the cans and spill it down your front as your used to the bottle neck... |

Stubbys for my but if it spirits it cans, so stubbys gets my vote seen as its for beer. Speaking of beer im having one now, god they are so much moer expensive in QLD compared to NSW $32 on special for carlton cold in QLD its that price normally in NSW.

Glass all the way, purely because Coopers Sparkling doesn't come in a tin, and Dr Tims ain't as good as the Pale. Although when in the spa the tins are handy, glass in spa = lose, because there's a chance of breakage meaning no more spa until its drained & cleaned :( Dammit, I feel like a beer or 24 right about now!

Bah you VB drinkers, only way I'll drink that is on tap. Carlton Draught all the way for me.
Looks like the old stubbie is a clear winner atm in this poll.
