Good onya wogboy say goodbye to the kids for a while.
What are your intentions with the beast, will you being trying to keep as original as can or are you gunna go wild? Potential for great things as either. Gotta say the capri club up there puts out a good newsletter and looks pretty active. As for parts good luck. |

i am very jealous. a mate of mine had one about 12 years ago and the torque was sensational. i always fancied one. i remember when they were a real performance car bargain. brilliant cars...well done.

Hi Wogboy,
I am located on Brisbane North and have just completed a Mk 1 Capri project. I have a small amount of parts left over that may be of interest to you. You can give me a call on 0408 859 662. |

WB69 a noble aim and one I particularly favour, however how original is your V6 to start with. In all honesty if its well done over it may be simpler to go down the mod track and end up with a car that handles much better than it did in 1970 but still turns heads and quickens the pulse.
Remember the originals didn't stop all that great, probably why they are so scarce now. Mine had just about it all still there and working bar a couple of trim bits, but had to kill off the original upholstery and dash as usual. Filling those small gaps in trim took a while, about 18months of more than occasional searches on ebay worldwide. Still looking for a square piece of timber inlay for the console, original of course and a screw in Rear view mirror, oh and a passenger bullet mirror. It never ends. They go like buggery tho. Good luck Keep us informed |
