Hi all,
I was at my local wrecker yesterday sourcing some parts for my au GHIA!! I came across a S2-3 xr6 ute. It had near new red shocks up front... It looked like it had the tickford setup being an xr6???? Just wondering what brand would the shocks be??? I couldn't read anything on them??? Maybe there Pedders???? Any idea how to tell??? |

I've had several XR's and the shocks have been red or yellow.
They are always Monroe. Koni reds are actually quite orange. Pedders are red. Some KYB's are red. It's a mixed bag, but if they're Monroe it will be stamped towards the bottom.

I had monroe GT gas on mu Fairmont, with King springs SL's. I dont know which one done it, but as a combo it was the most horribly handling and rough ride Ive ever had. And that was only on 17's. Mums Forte with XR suspension, is an absoloute pleasure in comparison.

Got to the wreckers today. They pulled the struts off & they looked good!!!!
They had the Ford stamping on them so I believe a tickford item for XR's.... Only one problem..... One of them was starting to leak!!!!! DAMN....... |
