Default silver top taxis burn.

any who uses silver top taxis to get arround melbourne had better be ready for a long wait.

just on the news that their head office - call centre - depot had been burnt to the ground. half of melbourne`s taxis with no way of contacting them except catching one at a taxi rank.

familly bussiness for 5 generations .

going to be a lot of people late for work in the morning.

Happened at about 7.30 this morning, and traffic was chaos around Hoddle st. even more than it normally is!

The other cab companies must be LOVING the extra bookings/ phone calls etc

Can just picture some indian call centre worker shouting "can you please be SHOWing ME THE MONEY" (ala tom cruise- jerry maguire) in some dodgy accent..!! ;)

(( accidentally slightly racist ))

No no, the cab's weren't destroyed. Just the call centre. Therefore, no dispatch work on the dispatch computer. Sucks to be driving for Silvertop yesterday.
