Final design for the Ford Territory has been completed and will now have base height adjustment in the front yoke. We will use the Alloy top mount used for the GT and adjustable spring seat as well as the 12 stages of damping force.
I will be returning from Korea with the first sample set for fitment trials and tuning development. As with the rest of the Ford range the full price will be $2000 and will be available as soon as we are happy with the ride and handling. We will be calling on a test car in the next month. Cheers Brett |

Likewise...great to see Territory-specific development being done as for some time it has been forgotten, or you are compelled to buy OEM spec gear only.

The first Territory I drove was a BA Falcon with a big bubble roof. Every time I did a U turn the front drive shafts fell out and had to call the PG to come and get me haha. Looked a bit like a beetle on steroids. We will get the suspension sorted and then introduce our Ford brake package, so it should be much nicer to punt around the hills.

Frist samples nearly finished and I will see how I go carrying them back in my luggage. They will be base height adjustable and we have managed to retain all the factory travel.
I have a mate who has a Turbo Territory and will try to line it up in the next week for the tuning. If I have no luck I may call on you good lads. photo's are on our FaceBook page. Cheers |

I want to change the suspension in my TTG, the current King springs are too harsh. I'm after the factory TTG or F6X spring rate and ride height. What are you're recommendations? Thanks.

Althought the F6X tuning turned out much better for ride and handling the rates were only up 10% on the base model.
We will be using higher rates to improve the handling futher but will not give you guys a harsh ride or something that is in your face at all. The dampers are now in the air and on the way and will be doing a series of damper tests on the dyno first. Fitting trials to follow and then the ride tuning. We aim to get the best ride quality for the Tezza and a real fun handling package. Cheers |

Hi Guy's,
We should have the first production batch made in the next couple of weeks after confirming everything is good on the test car. As you see in the pictures, we have used the original yoke so I am sure it will bolt up fine and the rears have all the same mounts, just slightly longer. It's hard to understand what your car feels like F6 Concorde but may be due to the dampers with the stiffer springs. We will select the rates based on the handling and ride we would like to achieve but hard to say now what the rates will be until we start testing. Our dampers can be very digressive so even with heavier spring rates can get OE level ride. The full kit will be the same as the GT kits which are $2000. |

Great to hear that things are moving along at a healthy pace.
Got monstered by an X6M thru the Perth hills on the weekend, highlighting the need for something much better in the suspension department. Only thing that saved me was local (road) knoledge.. |

The first samples are in Melbourne but not completly happy with the strength so we have modified the drawings and using some extra steel support around the mounting plates. During the original Territory AWD development, it was found that the mounting braket at the top was seeing very high loads so want to make sure our front bracket is even stronger than OEM.
After the samples are modified to production spec, we will start tuning a Turbo Ghia and will keep you posted on the progress. Sorry but we dont like to rush this stuff or build parts that will not last. Cheers |

Hey Cobramad,
We have the Territory dampers in Melbourne and will pick them up from the docks next week. We have a Turbo Territory as a test car but wont take long to set up as we have allot of data from previous tuning and development of the F6X. I will post up some photos of the new toughened mounts and the new setup with the alloy top mounts which we use for the Sedan. Also the Ford XY dampers are now finished and will begin testing soon. Cheers |

Just a quick bump, but also wondering if they will be much of an improvement over the F6X's suspension?

From the improvement we have made on the factory GT and GTR Spec, I think we can expect quite a big improvement with the ride and handling. The spring rates used for the F6X were quite low with only a 10% increase over the standard Territory. We have had some race teams to support and very busy with sales which put us back a little for the Terri but will have our dampers installed in the next week and we expect development to take around a week to finish. Cheers Brett |

Hi Guy's
I know this has been dragging on but for a good reason. The Territory has much higher loads on the front clevis bracket, so we have had a mileage accumulation vehicle running the dampers on severe roads for nearly 3 months. We need to be very sure our new design of clevis is strong and runs with no stress. We are removing the dampers from the Terri for the final time on Wednesday with stock now ordered for the first production run. The original Ford clevis is strong but we wanted to be sure ours was as robust living on really bad roads with no issues. We will have stock of the adjustable damper kit late Jan, early Feb. If required we can air freight some kits to Melbourne after production is finished. I am sorry for the delays to the Territory damper kit but with all our dampers kits we develop, we test first to confirm we have no problems in the future. Cheers Brett |
